Winning the Morning in 3 Steps
When you win the morning, you win the day. The best way to start is by having a reliable morning routine that prepares your mind and body for the adventures of the day.
Hydrate
Your body loses water while you sleep, so start the morning by re-hydrating your body as soon as you wake up. I personally start my day with a detox drink made up of water, apple cider vinegar, lemon juice, honey, and cinnamon. This flushes out my body and makes sure I'm not bloated or congested as I go through my day.
Meditate
It’s important to take time in the morning to simply be present. Practicing meditation for 5-10 minutes every morning. It can provide benefits such as reduced stress, anxiety, and better self-awareness. Another way you can be mindful is by writing down a few things you’re grateful for. Expressing gratitude improves your emotional well-being, and can shift the perspective with which you approach the day.
Shake Something
If you’re someone that feels aches and pain throughout the day, especially in your lower back, then morning stretches would be a great benefit to you. When your body is in a particular position for long periods of time, your muscles contract and tighten up, leading to discomfort. Stretching helps wake those muscles by getting blood flow into that area. Stretching can also help increase mobility, improve posture, and relieve stress.
